I just had the most wonderful visit at our office with a member of the Columbia Play Commission.  The Columbia Play Commission is a group of community activist who are making it their personal goal to make Columbia a more community-oriented, playful city for all ages.  This is the second year in a row Columbia has been made a "Playful City USA".  Anyways, on September 18th the Play Commission will be hosting "A Day to Play - Picnic in the Park"  Below you will find all of the information you need to make the event.  What a great idea!  I hope all of you can get out and enjoy this event!

Time? Picnic from 12 to 1 (bring your own sack lunch) and Fun games and events from 1 to 4 pm.

Where? Bolm-Schuhkraft Memorial Park (City Park)

 A big good job and congratulations to Century 21 Advantage's very own Keagan Kristoff!!!!! Keagan competed in the Monroe County Fair Queen Pageant last night and not only was named first runner-up, she also took the title of Miss Congeniality.  We are not surprised that she took both titles!!!  Keagan has been a part of the Century 21 Advantage Team for over a year now and has done a great job in assisting all of our Agents on a regular basis.  Century 21 Advantage sponsored her for this event and we couldn't be more proud!!! Go keagan, Go!

We'd like to Congratulate Reagan Voelker, and her mom, Jennifer Voelker (one of our agents here at Century 21 Advantage) on Reagan's recent debut at Grizzlies Stadium singing the Naitonal Anthem.  What an amazing job Reagan did!

I hope all of my clients and friends enjoyed their holiday weekend!  My family and I spent a relaxing weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks with my grandsons, Chanse & Caden.  We went on loads of golf cart rides to enjoy the beautiful weather and spent lots of time out on the water!  Both boys had a blast, but got worn out pretty quickly!

Late last night, the United States Senate passed an extension of the Homebuyer Tax Credit closing deadline. Known as the “Homebuyers Assistance and Improvement Act of 2010,” the bill was passed by unanimous consent. The extension applies only to transactions that have ratified contracts in place as of April 30, 2010 that have not yet closed. This legislation is designed to create a seamless extension, and the new closing deadline for eligible home sale transactions is now September 30, 2010. There will not be any gap between June 30 and the date the President signs the bill into law.

TUESDAY JUNE 15: PORTA WESTFALICA PARADE

Century 21 Advantage Real Estate, Inc. agents, friends, and family took part in the Porta Westfalica Parade in Waterloo tues evening. All of us would like to thank everyone who braved the heat and came to watch the parade! We hope to see everyone at future parades!

Come support our communities German Heritage tonight at the Porta Westfalica parade and festival in down town Waterloo!  The parade starts at 6 pm and runs from Gibault High School to the corner of Main and 1st in Waterloo.  The Waterloo German Band will be performing and there will be a number of kid-friendly activities as well as food and beverages!  Remember to look for Century 21 Advantage and the Linda Frierdich Real Estate Group in the parade line up!  We hope to see you there!
